Jeff Tipton is a project consultant working primarily with vehicle regulation related projects. He has extensive professional experience in commercial vehicle registration. He had a multi-faceted, 34-year career at the Kentucky Department of Vehicle Regulation in the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Oversaw Kentucky’s commercial vehicle registration program as branch manager and section supervisor. Ensured that Kentucky was in compliance with all requirements of the IRP Agreement. Supervised customer service, distribution of apportioned plates, issuance of cab cards, updates to motor carrier information, and the processing of payments and refunds. Coordinated stakeholder relationships with commercial motor vehicle operators, motor carriers, law enforcement, Kentucky Transportation Center, Kentucky Trucking Association, and county clerks. Served in multiple ITD, IRP, and PRISM-related leadership roles.
