Ben Blandford is the Program Manager for KTC’s Resilience program area and has worked at KTC since 2006. Dr. Blandford’s research centers on transportation resilience to climate and natural hazards and transportation safety driving behavioral analyses. Dr. Blandford has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s (KYTC) Transportation Resilience Improvement Plan and Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP). Dr. Blandford also specializes in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), teaches GIS in Civil Engineering at UK, and is an active planning committee member for the AASHTO GIS in Transportation annual symposium. Dr. Blandford holds a PhD in Geography, which he completed at the University of Kentucky in 2015.
