Chris Blackden has been a research scientist with KTC’s Traffic and Safety program since 2014, where he specializes in GIS and SQL database queries. He has worked for several years on the design and maintenance of KTC’s Intersection Database. Other contributions include data organization and visualization, analysis for KTC’s annual traffic collision reports, and the routine implementation of Safety Performance Functions and related statistical models. Chris holds a BA in Economics and Geography from the University of Southern Maine, and he earned his PhD in Geography from the University of Kentucky.
