Hala Nassereddine, PhD, is a research engineer for the Construction Engineering and Project Management group at KTC. Dr. Nassereddine holds an appointment in the College of Engineering as an Assistant Professor of Construction Engineering and Project Management. Dr. Nassereddine’s multidisciplinary research focuses on identifying potential disruptors and roadblocks that must be surmounted to transform the construction industry, investigating cutting-edge technologies such as Digital Twins, developing frameworks that promote innovation, proposing methodologies for integrating Construction 4.0 technologies into existing processes, and understanding organizational change. Dr. Nassereddine is also actively involved in TRB’s Construction Management Committee (AKC10) as the communication coordinator. She was awarded the Russell J Alessi ELECTRI International 2020 Early Career Award for her proposal on Allocating and Leveraging BIM Efforts for Electrical Contractors and was the winner of the 2019 Academic Showcase sponsored by the Construction Industry Institute Funded Studies Committee for her work on Augmented Reality.
Dr. Nassereddine holds a Bachelor’s in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rafik Hariri University – Lebanon and a Master’s and Doctorate in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Dr. Nassereddine also holds a minor in Statistics and a certificate in Business, Environmental and Social Responsibilities from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
